About us

Our client is an NZX-listed property vehicle specialising in industrial property. Our client invests in quality industrial property in prime locations. They have a portfolio of almost 100 properties (valued at more than two billion dollars) located throughout New Zealand and leased to around 150 tenants.

Our client has been in operation for over twenty years with over 5000 shareholders and runs a lean team from their Auckland head office.

About the role

Due to the rapid growth of their business and the changing compliance landscape, our client is looking for a recently qualified graduate, with a thirst for knowledge and general understanding of law and corporate governance, who is passionate about putting their technical knowledge into practice. 

The role will report to the Head of Sustainability & Operations and will work with all functions of the company across a wide variety of responsibilities. In return you will be provided on-the-job training and career development opportunities. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Support the Head of Sustainability & Operations in ensuring our client is working within relevant legislation and regulations. 
  • Assist management with preparation of internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for NZX disclosures and other company filings.
  • Support the Head of Sustainability & Operations with a variety of risk management activities.  
  • Undertake thorough research on potential sustainability initiatives, report recommendations to management, and assist with the implementation and progress tracking of initiatives.
  • Coordinate and take minutes for a range of meetings.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be a recent graduate, preferably with a law degree.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel. 
  • Have a base understanding of law and corporate governance.
  • Have meticulous attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Have excellent relationship management and communication skills, with an ability to interact confidently, professionally and proactively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
