The Grand Casino Bar & Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

About the Role:

As our Restaurant Manager you will lead the front of house team by setting high standards and ensuring all team members receive the necessary training to fulfill these requirements. You will lead by example and address issues when they arise. You’re ready to take ownership of your role and are eager to come up with new exciting offerings for patrons and staff. You also possess a keen interest on offsite events and can plan and execute the organizational logistics of delivering events. Communication is key to this role, and you keep yourself up to date with information and can pass it on to the relevant party’s

Indicative hours 11:30 - 8pm weekdays, 13:00 - 9:30pm weekends with rotating weekends off.  During our busy periods, the hours could change due to internal and external functions, Birthdays, Christmas and New Years.  

Some of the other duties and requirements are:

  • Handling Cash and cash ups
  • Configuration of POS system
  • Stock Control (Beverage) including stock take experience
  • Regular Communication with Team, Kitchen, Marketing, F&B manager and VIP loyalty team 
  • Have completed an LCQ (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold a Duty Managers Certificate (desirable)
  • 5 years + experience in F&B
  • Planning and delivering off site catering events 
  • Running the daily operation of the casino restaurant including rostering 
  • Creating exiting beverage offerings to increase revenues
  • Working with suppliers and our purchasing manager to ensure stock levels are meet and we never run out of our patron’s favorite beverage
  • Communicate with kitchen regularly to provide feedback and ways to improve our delivery 

You won’t have to do this all by yourself as you’ll have a dedicated team of Supervisors there for support.
