The Resource Coordinator role is a key part of our Disability Community Service, supporting people to live independently in their own communities.

In this varied, people focused role,  you’ll lead and support a team of Community Support Workers. You'll oversee day-to-day operations including recruitment, rostering, training, orientation and task allocation ensuring your team is well-equipped to deliver high quality, person-centred support. You will be a key point of connection for staff, the people we support, and their whanau/family, making sure support plans are clear, effective and consistently delivered. Your ability to bring people, planning and resources together will be essential to ensuring great outcomes for everyone involved. 

Hours: This role is full-time permanent based in Palmerston North working 80 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday


We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience leading a team in disability support, community services or a related people focused environment
  • Strong coordination and relationship building skills
  • Experience in individualised planning using a person-centred and inclusive approach 
  • Confidence supporting and responding to challenging behaviours  
  • Understanding of Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles
  • Excellent communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with rostering and recruiting (advantageous)
  • Full NZ Driver’s Licence
