We’re growing fast — and so is the variety of work we do in the Housing and Business Development Group. As a Resource Consent Planner, you’ll help deliver well-balanced decisions that enable sustainable development and contribute to positive outcomes for our community.
In this role, you’ll work on a broad range of applications, applying your planning knowledge and judgment to navigate different issues. You’ll collaborate with others to provide clear advice and ensure our consenting services are accessible, customer-focused, and aligned with te Tiriti principles.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You will have up-to-date knowledge of the Resource Management Act and related legislation, experience of processing a range of resource consent and other applications, and the ability to form a complex planning argument. We are looking for someone who has outstanding interpersonal skills, particularly relationship-building, is self-motivated, and has good organisational skills and a commitment to quality customer service. You will have a qualification in resource management planning or a related field and relevant planning experience.
This is a permanent full-time role that will work in a flexible, collaborative and supportive work environment. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with someone who demonstrates the right attitude, attributes and skills.
