We're seeking a Research Assistant to support a range of housing and construction research projects. This casual role is ideally suited to a postgraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience working with real-world research data and projects.
About the role
Working alongside a friendly and experienced Sector Insights team, you'll support a range of research projects by entering, organising, checking and preparing data used by our researchers and in sector information tools.
Key responsibilities include:
· Entering survey responses and research information into digital systems
· Cleaning and checking data for accuracy
· Organising project files and documentation
· Supporting routine project and data management tasks
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
· Is undertaking postgraduate study, or has recently completed a degree, involving data, statistics, economics, science, engineering or a related field
· Has strong attention to detail
· Enjoys working carefully and accurately with data and spreadsheets, including data entry, checking and organisation tasks
· Is reliable, organised and willing to learn
This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience working with real-world research data, develop your data management skills and work alongside a friendly and supportive team. The role is based onsite at the BRANZ campus in Judgeford, so applicants will need to be able to travel to and work from the site during normal weekday business hours. Flexible hours are available during term time, with opportunities for additional hours during university breaks and busy project periods. The role is for a period of approximately 6 months, until c. 31 March 2027.
