McKay is growing our renewable energy portfolio and we are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Partnerships Manager to lead and strengthen relationships with our most strategic clients in this rapidly expanding sector. 

In this senior, commercially focused role, you will sit at the centre of our renewable energy strategy and shape how McKay win work, position our value and build long-term partnerships with key developers, EPCs and utilities. 

As the primary commercial interface between McKay and our renewable energy clients, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, leading bid and tender responses, and ensuring our proposals are strategically compelling as well as technically credible. You will work closely with McKay leadership, estimators, engineers, and delivery teams to turn opportunities into sustained client partnerships.

About the Role  l  Mo Te Mahi: 

  • Strengthen partnerships with strategic renewable energy clients, positioning McKay as a trusted delivery partner. 
  • Represent the client internally, shaping the service delivery and innovation required for success. 
  • Lead the renewable energy contribution to bids and tenders in collaboration with the Bid Manager
  • Maintain a robust CRM pipeline and provide forward visibility of opportunities and revenue.
  • Track competitor activity, pricing approaches, and partnership models.
  • Represent McKay at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to ensure tender commitments are understood and met.
  • Capture client feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve future bids and partnership strategies. 

 About You  l  Mo Koe: 

  • 5+ years in a Partnership, Business Development, Key Account Management, or Bid Management role within the Electrical Construction, Infrastructure or Renewables industry. 
  • Passion for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients. 
  • Previous experience delivering electrical infrastructure, construction or renewables projects is advantageous but not essential.  
  • Ability to interpret technical information and translate this into a "reason to buy" for a client. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience collating and submitting compelling Bids & Tenders. 
  • Posses a continuous improvement mindset to confirm McKay as a market leader in Renewable Energy Project Delivery.
