Reliever Caregiver - Waihi
BestStart is looking for passionate, energetic casual relievers in Waihi who want meaningful work without being tied to a fixed routine. This is a role where no two days are the same, but every day matters.
You’ll be stepping into early learning centres right here in Waihi, supporting tamariki as they explore, learn, play, and grow. Whether you’re reading stories, setting up messy play, or helping little learners conquer the climbing frame, your presence makes a real difference.
What Reliever Life Looks Like in Waihi:
- Working across BestStart centres in and around Waihi
- Supporting teaching teams when they need an extra pair of hands
- Creating warm, safe, fun learning spaces for tamariki
- Jumping into play, routines, and learning with confidence and care
This Could Be You If You:
- Genuinely enjoy working with children and being part of their early learning journey
- Like variety, flexibility, and choosing when you work
- Are reliable and happy to pick up shifts regularly
- Enjoy being welcomed back into familiar centres and teams
- Have two workplace references (Current and previous managers), valid ID, and can complete NZ Police Vetting
- Are eligible to work in New Zealand
