Reliever Caregiver - Hutt Valley
BestStart is excited to invite Reliever Caregivers to join our dedicated team across the Hutt Valley. In this vital role, you will support our centres throughout the city, helping to create an environment where our tamariki can thrive and enjoy exceptional care and learning every day.
With seven centres conveniently located across the Hutt Valley, you’ll have the chance to work in a variety of settings, gaining diverse experience and making a real impact across different communities.
As a Reliever Caregiver, you will:
- Collaborate closely with permanent staff to support and enhance daily classroom activities
- Provide nurturing care, guidance, and active engagement with our Tamariki
- Take initiative to contribute to a warm, welcoming, and positive learning environment
- Enjoy the dynamic nature of the role, with opportunities to work across multiple centres, ensuring no two days are the same

- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, can-do attitude
- A caring, respectful, and enthusiastic approach to teamwork and caregiving
