Reliever Caregiver - East Auckland

BestStart is looking for Reliever Caregivers in East Auckland – the unsung heroes who keep our centres thriving. You’ll be part of a community of passionate educators, families, and whānau, helping children shine every day.
Our East Auckland centres include: BestStart Shelly Bay Road, BestStart Botany Road, BestStart Howick, BestStart Flatbush, BestStart Mt Wellington and BestStart Apirana Ave.
We’re especially looking for Relievers who are available to pick up shifts regularly across all of our East Auckland centres– giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships while keeping each day fresh and different.
As a Reliever Caregiver, you will:
- Support permanent staff with daily classroom routines
- Care for, guide, and engage with Tamariki
- Take initiative and contribute to a positive learning environment
- Enjoy variety—no two days are the same, as you may work across multiple centres

- Passion for working with young children
- Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
- A caring, respectful, and fun-loving nature
- Ability to adapt and work as part of a supportive team
No formal ECE qualifications are required—this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and explore a rewarding career in early childhood education.
