Reliable Class 2 - 4 driver - Full time
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver Operator to join our Solid Waste team in Invercargill. This role is focused on the collection and servicing of in‑town litter bins, helping keep our streets and public spaces clean and presentable.
About the Role
Reporting to the Solid Waste Supervisor, you will operate designated in‑town routes, servicing public litter bins in a safe and efficient manner. This is a hands‑on, physically active role with consistent early-start hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm, with Saturday work from 5:00am to 9:00am. You’ll be out and about in the community each day, interacting with the public and representing a team that takes pride in what they do.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum Class 2 licence required (Class 4 preferred)
- Full NZ driver licence
- Previous driving, transport, or similar hands-on work is an advantage
- Physically fit – this is an active role with repetitive lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
- Good attitude and able to work well in a team
- Comfortable interacting with the public
