We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Wellington based team. The Hours:

The hours of work are Monday to Friday working 8am through until 5pm, 80 hours per fortnight. 
There will be a requirement to participate in the clinical advisory on call shared across the nursing team.

While based in Wellington you would be supporting both our Disability and Mental Health residential services and be a part of our wider team of Registered Nurses involved in clinical care, direction, delegation to our Support Workers.

   

We are seeking an enthusiastic and progressive nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team.

  • You must hold a registered nurse qualification and have a current NZ Practicing Certificate.
  • Community disability and mental health experience is preferred.
  • Ideally you will have skills and experience working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Current full NZ drivers’ licence is required. 

  

In this role you will:

  • Provide clinical expertise, assessment, and triage of needs to meet the individual requirements of the people we support. 
  • Partner with our Service Managers to provide direction for our support workers in creating a homely and welcoming space for our people that is supportive of their needs and enables them to lead full lives.
  • Engage with the people we support to assess their health and wellbeing needs and provide plans to meet their care and support needs. 
  • Support and provide direction to unregistered staff and oversee medication management including training of other staff members to administer and short-term plans.
  • Be able to strongly advocate for the people we support in clinical settings.
  • Develop beneficial professional relationships with GPs, specialist services and other allied health professionals.
