Te Ara Waiora Clinic is an innovative healthcare service model focused on providing professional, free, accessible health services for all whānau.
Based in the heart of our Flaxmere community in our beautiful, modern clinic in the Flaxmere Village, the service has a mix of Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Health Coaches and Health Administrator. We also work closely with other health and social services at Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga as well as external Health and Social Service Providers to help whānau access other healthcare services they may need.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. Our services is delivered through both our Flaxmere site as well as mobile Nurse clinics, to whanau in local communities and at community events.
We are committed to providing professional primary health care services and early intervention to prevent chronic, long term health conditions.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
What we are looking for:
· A current Practicing Certificate
. You live in our local community and know the area and the tangata
· Ideally you will have experience working in primary care or community
. Experience with diabetes, heart, immunisations, sexual health
. Confident and enthusiatic to provide community outreach clinics
· Professional in all aspects of your mahi, from presentation to practice
· You have high standards of confidentiality
· You have a current New Zealand FULL Driver’s Licence
· You can speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori or be willing to learn
