Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our In‑Patient Team in a 0.8 FTE role, with the flexibility to work rostered shifts Monday to Sunday. You will work across a range of clinical areas including pre‑admission, admission, day stay, ward, and our new Intermediate Care Facility. In this role, you’ll deliver safe, high‑quality, patient and whānau centred nursing care, drawing on your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and commitment to excellence as you move between different parts of the service to meet patient needs. You’ll bring strong assessment skills, confidence in managing emergency scenarios, a holistic approach to care, attention to detail of documentation within an electronic platform. You’ll guide, support, and monitor the care delivered to help foster a culturally sensitive, safe, and empowering environment for patients and whānau.
As a reflective practitioner, you’ll actively contribute to continuous improvement, assist with clinical and business-related activities, and play your part in project work and action plans that enhance service delivery. Collaboration is at the heart of this role: you’ll build relationships with patients and families, communicate with warmth and clarity, and work closely with colleagues and Medical Specialists to maintain a positive, high-performing team culture. You’ll champion safety and quality by meeting legislative and clinical practice standards, engaging in audits and corrective actions, and contributing to best practice improvements.
