This role is part of the Immunisation Outreach contract which has been created to meet a key Government health target of 95% of tamariki fully immunised at 24 months.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to drive this Immunisation Outreach in our local community.
Working with a Kaiāwhina - Health Educator, this role will raise awareness levels of immunisations with the goal of creating multi-generational commitment to immunisations within whānau.
You will provide education and health literacy to whānau to protect against disease in their tamariki and in the wider population.
And empower them to build healthier and safer lifestyles for their household.
This is a community-based role providing vaccinations services in home or community settings.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm for a fixed term to 30th June 2027.
What we are looking for:
· You have a current Practicing Certificate
· You are a Qualified Authorised vaccinator
. You live in our local community and know the area
. You can speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori (and/or be willing to learn)
. You can educate and motivate whānau
. You are professional in all aspects of your mahi, from presentation to practice
· You have high standards of confidentiality
· You have a current New Zealand FULL Driver’s License
