 About Us

Enliven is a not-for-profit service providing aged residential care to older people. We believe older people should remain connected to their community and live stimulating and fulfilling lives. All our homes embrace an elder-directed model of care called the Eden Alternative.

The Enliven Bureau operates as Enliven’s ‘casual pool’. Our homes require staff 24/7, so you can expect to be offered morning, afternoon, and night shifts all days of the week, including weekends.

The Enliven Bureau services our 14 homes across the lower North Island – Our Wellington Homes include Woburn Home in Lower Hutt, Huntleigh Home in Karori, Cashmere and Cashmere Heights in Johnsonville, Longview Home in Tawa.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for providing nursing care that is safe, cost effective and of the highest quality in accordance with the evidence, professional standards, organisational standards and policy and procedure. Registered Nurses are accountable for ensuring all health services they provide are consistent with their education and assessed competence, meet legislative requirements and are supported by appropriate standard.

As one of our bureau casuals, you will be flexible and available for travel to cover shifts across all of our homes within Wellington.  If you have a preferred location, we are happy to also discuss this with you.

About You

Along with excellent communication and a quality improvement focus, you will hold:

  • NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate 
  • Two years’ full time equivalent RN experience in provision of care to older adults 
  • Full NZ driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
