Registered Nurse / Anaesthetics

About the Role
The Registered Nurse/Anaesthetics role is responsible for the provision of safe and effective patient care. 

This is a permanent role offered at 1.0FTE to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Friday during the opening hours of the hospital. 

The successful applicant must have Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, pursuant to the Nurses Act 1977, as a Registered Nurse and hold a current practising certificate.  

Specific duties include: 

  • Providing optimum patient care in accordance with Mercy Hospital Shared Purpose and Values
  • Practising in accordance with Mercy Hospital Policies, Quality Health Standards for Certification/Accreditation, and ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices 
  • Practising in accordance with the Domains of Competence for the Registered Nurse

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • High level of experience in airway management   
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Computer literacy 
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitude.
