Registered Nurse (Casual)

Southern Cross Wellness Partners

Southern Cross Wellness Partners was established in 2024 through the merger of Raise Mental Health (EAP and mental health services) and MedPro Healthcare (occupational health nursing). As a wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Cross Healthcare, our vision is to help people live their best lives by reimagining healthcare. Guided by our Reimagining 2033 Strategy, we’re shaping the next generation of healthcare in Aotearoa New Zealand—creating an integrated, connected ecosystem that supports patients, their whānau, specialists, and funders across the full continuum of care. As New Zealand’s largest non-government healthcare provider and one of its most trusted brands, we’re uniquely positioned to deliver healthcare like no other.

te Tūranga | About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual contract. This role is all about delivering safe, high-quality, patient care and health education through health checks while bringing energy, skill and compassion to every interaction. You’ll draw on your nursing knowledge and critical thinking to provide evidence-based care, using holistic assessments, smart planning, skilled interventions and ongoing evaluation - supported by outstanding documentation. Strong, therapeutic relationships with patients and whānau are at the heart of what you do, along with clear and confident communication and a collaborative team approach with colleagues.

As a key representative of Wellness Partners, you’ll bring professionalism, warmth, and confidence to the communities we support - portraying our values with pride, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive on autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to grow while making a genuine impact. This is a truly flexible casual position with no set hours - we work with your availability and schedule work 2 - 4 weeks in advance, with occasional last-minute opportunities too.
