Bidfood Regional Marketing Co-Ordinator – Upper North Island (12 month fixed term contract)

Who are Bidfood?

You might not know Bidfood yet, but you’ve probably spotted one of our 500 trucks on the road delivering everything from fresh produce to pantry staples. Our customers include restaurants, cafés, aged care, hospitals, schools, and even the armed forces and prisons.

We’re big ($1.5B revenue) but practical – 2,300 people across 30 branches, including meat and produce manufacturing plants from Whangarei to Invercargill.

This Role

In this role, you will collaborate with the national marketing team, branches and suppliers to deliver effective campaigns and communications that align to the Bidfood marketing strategy.

You will champion best practice across numerous media formats (eDM, MyBidfood eComm Website/App, social media, paid digital), whilst ensuring consistency in messaging, creative, timing and targeting.

This newly created role is one of three across the country. You will work closely with your counterparts to develop systems and improve processes with ample opportunity to evolve the regional marketing proposition and make an impact.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a multi-tasking environment, is highly organised, and enjoys working cross functionally to deliver impactful, customer focused marketing.

Base yourself at any of our Auckland or Hamilton locations, and travel between branches as required.

Key Responsibilities

· Own the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across five branches driving engagement and sales

· Plan, coordinate and deliver monthly specials campaigns, paid supplier promotions and engaging social media content plus branch or region specific collateral or promotions

· Deliver activity primarily via eDM, MyBidfood (website & app), and social media

· Schedule, target, and optimise communications using Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite, Google, Wix and MyBidfood Admin (ecommerce)

· Work closely with designers to deliver clear briefs and consistent, on-brand creative

· Champion the Bidfood brand, creative guidelines, and the voice of the customer across all activity

Trade Shows & Events

· Support and coordinate Bidfood trade shows and events

· Assist with pre-event marketing, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up

· Work with branches, suppliers, and the marketing team to ensure events are engaging, well-executed, and commercially effective

Reporting, Support & Stakeholder Management

· Confidently manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across branches and suppliers

· Provide marketing support, guidance, and upskilling where required

· Deliver monthly performance reporting, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement

· Build and share best-practice case studies to help embed the value of marketing across the business

What We’re Looking For

· A proactive and highly organised Marketing Co-ordinator with excellent project management capability who enjoys ownership and delivery

· Clear communicator with strong relationship-building skills. Confident working with and influencing stakeholders in a decentralised business

· Strong commercial awareness and interest in improving marketing ROI

· A good eye for creative, detail, and brand consistency

· High bias for action and growth mindset, with exceptional collaboration skills.

· Experience in FMCG, retail media, supplier-funded marketing, or events is an advantage

Bonus points if you’ve worked with small businesses or franchises – we’re decentralised, and strong regional relationships matter.

Ideally you would have studied marketing and achieved relevant marketing qualifications but real life experience is strongly valued in our business.
