A unique opportunity has become available to join BestStart as our Regional Manager for the Midland region.
You'll lead a geographically dispersed team of Area Managers and regional support staff, supporting approximately 1,300 team members across our centres. As a senior leader, you'll play a key role in shaping regional performance and contributing to the ongoing success of the organisation.
At BestStart, we're proud to be New Zealand's largest early childhood education provider, with more than 265 centres nationwide. Guided by our purpose of making a positive difference in the lives of children, we're looking for an exceptional leader who can deliver outstanding outcomes for our tamariki, whānau, people and business.
This is a significant leadership role where you'll balance strategic leadership, operational excellence and commercial performance. You'll be accountable for driving regional growth, centre occupancy, financial performance, wage management and productivity, while ensuring exceptional outcomes for children, whānau and our people.
We're looking for a leader who will:
· Inspire and develop high-performing Area Managers and regional teams.
· Drive sustainable growth and operational excellence across the region.
· Use data and commercial insight to improve performance and make informed decisions.
· Build strong relationships and influence across the organisation.
· Lead with energy, resilience and a passion for developing people.
You'll bring proven experience leading large, multi-site operations, strong commercial and financial acumen, outstanding people leadership and the ability to lead through change. Experience in education is advantageous but not essential.
