Position Title: Regional Learning Centre Coordinator

Contract Type: Part-time (0.8FTE), Fixed Term until December 2026

Reporting to: Transition Director

Remuneration: $56,000 - $74,600 (Fixed remuneration excluding Kiwisaver)

Are you passionate about creating inclusive, vibrant learning spaces that empower learners to achieve their goals? As the Regional Learning Centre Coordinator based in Tokoroa, you’ll lead the coordination of regional operations, ensuring our learning centres run smoothly and deliver exceptional experiences for ākonga (learners). You’ll work closely with kaimahi (staff) and community partners to provide services that truly make a difference, supporting educational success across the region.

Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective use and upkeep of Regional Learning Centre facilities, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and services to support a safe and welcoming learning environment.
  • Support community engagement and promotional activities to enhance visibility of the centre and Toi Ohomai programmes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and coordinate with school administration teams to support enrolment processes.
  • Collaborate with Ākonga Success teams to ensure ākonga have access to appropriate support and services.

He kōrero mōu | About You

You bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in coordinating regional operations or community-based education services.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Capability in administrative systems, facilities oversight, and student support coordination.
  • Intermediate to advanced digital skills (Microsoft Suite, database management, collaboration platforms).
  • Experience supporting te reo Māori, tikanga, and mātauranga Māori in the workplace.
  • Understanding of  Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and equity-focused approaches.
