At Presbyterian Support Otago, great recruitment matters. The people we recruit support older people, whānau, children and some of the most vulnerable people in our community every day.
We’re looking for a Recruitment Specialist who gets real satisfaction from helping busy managers find great people, build strong teams and keep essential services running.
About the role
You will be part of our supportive and highly capable People, Culture & Capability team, working alongside managers across PSO to understand their workforce pressures, anticipate recruitment needs and help them find the right people.
This is a role with plenty of scope to use your initiative and make your mark. You’ll:
- provide end-to-end recruitment and onboarding support
- develop smart, creative sourcing and advertising approaches
- build and use community networks to reach great candidates
- help managers think ahead about their workforce and what their teams really need
- strengthen PSO’s employment brand and candidate experience
- support overseas recruitment and onboarding
- look for better, faster and more effective ways of doing things.
At its heart, this is a service role. Our managers and staff do extraordinary work in busy services across Otago. You’ll understand their pressures and enjoy making recruitment easier, stronger and more responsive for them.
About you
You’ll bring strong people and communication skills, good judgement and a genuine service mindset. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable working through relationships and influence.
You may already work in recruitment or HR, or bring relevant experience from another people-focused environment. You’ll ideally have good community connections – or be someone who naturally builds them – and enjoy finding new ways to reach the right people.
Most importantly, you’ll want to work somewhere where what you do genuinely matters.
