Mō te tūranga - About the role:
You will support an Enliven team in an environment, where everyone wants to deliver great quality care to our residents and ensure they have a positive experience whilst living at our Wellington based homes. We value the flexibility you can bring with you as we appreciate every team member that can support our Homes to be a great place to live and work. Our Homes are located across our Wellington including Johnsonville, Tawa, Karori, and Lower Hutt, and the bureau team support staffing needs at any one of these locations.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging recreation programmes that support residents' wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
- Promote the Eden Alternative philosophy by creating meaningful opportunities to enjoy recreation activities
- Develop individual recreation plans and ensure residents have access to enjoyable activities and social engagement opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and the wider care team to create a vibrant community environment.
- Maintain accurate records, follow organisational policies, and support health, safety, and quality standards.

Mō koe - About You
You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and operate with a person-centred approach and high care standards. Whether you are spending time with staff or residents, it's all about the way we communicate with each other and how we get the job done that counts towards making the difference to everyone's day.
- Hold a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing (or higher) or Level 4 Diversional Therapy
- You are willing and able to work across our Wellington homes, including Johnsonville, Tawa, Karori, and Lower Hutt, to support staffing needs and deliver excellent resident care.
- You are confident using a range of technology platforms and systems, with the ability to learn new applications quickly and accurately.
- You have a genuine passion for working with older people and supporting meaningful ageing experiences.
- You are creative, energetic, and enjoy facilitating a wide range of recreational and social activities.
- You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a friendly and positive approach.
- Ability to travel to and from our Wellington Homes
As a casual team member you will be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
