Mō te tūranga - About the role
This is a split role spending 40 hours per fortnight role as our Recreation Officer and 4 hours per fortnight as our Village Co-Ordinator, opportunity may exist for additional hours, depending on the operational needs of the Home/Village. The hours are Thursday to Sunday one week and Friday to Sunday the second week.
As Recreation Officer, you will plan and facilitate individual resident’s recreation plans and implement these across the Home. Activities can occur across any day of the week, so a willingness and ability to work across the full week is an advantage.

As Village Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for welcoming new residents, and assisting them with their transition into our Enliven community, once settled you will offer continued support to all our residents; ensuring that changes, updates, events and notices are effectively communicated, and being a key point of contact for them. Please note you will also be required to drive the home van for external activities.

As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. A commitment to Enliven’s Eden philosophy of care is a key component of this role.
