Southern Cross Invercargill Hospital is the southernmost private surgical hospital in the Southern Cross Healthcare network, it is widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas.

The hospital features advanced theatre systems, including robotic orthopaedic surgery. Our highly skilled and caring team provide excellent care to 4,200 patients per year. Our elective surgical services include breast; endoscopy and gastroenterology; general; gynaecology; ophthalmology; oral and maxillofacial; orthopaedic; ear nose and throat; and urology surgery.

Are you a people person with a passion for creating positive first impressions? We're on the lookout for a superstar Receptionist to join our friendly and high-performing team at Invercargill Hospital.

In this part-time role, you'll work 22 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00am to 2:30pm, with flexibility to cover our full-time receptionist when needed.

As the first point of contact for our patients, visitors, and staff, your role is vital in making everyone feel welcomed, heard, and valued. We’re looking for someone who brings a warm, professional presence that sets the tone for every interaction.  A 'can-do' attitude and a calm, confident approach, outstanding communication and customer service skills, the ability to thrive in a busy environment and work as part of a collaborative team.

You’ll be joining an experienced group of administration professionals who take great pride in delivering a high-quality, seamless service. If you’re ready to hit the ground running and make a real difference in people’s hospital experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Our administrators are responsible for general reception duties, managing confidential patient information and queries, data entry, as well as patient invoicing, accounts receivable and general office administration including document management/filing.
