Receptionist
About the role
We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Hotel Receptionist to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that goes beyond front desk duties, offering a different experience every day. The successful candidate will be proactive, capable of working independently, and willing to support multiple areas of hotel operations, including light maintenance and housekeeping when required, they also will have flexible availability, as this role includes working morning and evening shifts as well as weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
Reception hours are 7:30am to 8:00pm this role will involve a mix of morning shifts 7:30am to 4:00pm and evening shifts 11:30am to 8:00pm.

The perfect candidate will have:
- 6 months experience or a relevant qualification at level 3 (or overseas equivalent)
- strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving,
- the ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities with minimal supervision,
- basic maintenance skills and a willingness to learn,
- flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities include:
- delivering a great first impression to guests including check-in/check-out, handling reservations and providing information about hotel services and local attractions,
- managing administrative tasks; phone calls, emails, guest inquiries, maintaining records and processing payments,
- addressing and resolving guest complaints and issues promptly and efficiently,
- working closely with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience,
- monitoring and reporting any safety or security concerns to the appropriate personnel,
- assisting housekeeping staff with room turnovers, cleaning common areas, and ensuring overall cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel,
- performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure guest comfort, such as changing light bulbs and troubleshooting basic issues,
- organising and liaising with contractors for major maintenance issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
