BestStart Waihi East is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our energetic, close-knit team.

We are a busy centre supported by an experienced and knowledgeable team of Kaiako who are committed to creating meaningful learning experiences. At BestStart Waihi East, we believe in sustainable learning for life.

About Our Centre

At the heart of what we do is building strong, respectful relationships. We support tamariki to connect with their community, one another, and Papatūānuku.

We view tamariki as confident and capable learners, valuing the knowledge and experiences they bring. Our environment is safe, inclusive, and fosters a strong sense of belonging.

We are proud of our community connections, including our garden-to-community stall, where Kaiako and tamariki grow and share produce. This reflects our commitment to collaboration, sustainability, and meaningful partnerships.

Located in a small rural township on the border of the Hauraki, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions, Waihi is known as the town with a "Heart of Gold." With a rich history in gold and silver mining and a diverse community, we benefit from the wide range of knowledge and expertise within our whānau.
