Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community and we are excited to be involved in research around children's Oral language and Self-regulation- Kia Timata Pai. This research involves around 1,600 BestStart pre-schoolers!
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has opened up at BestStart Te Atatu Rd for a qualified and registered Infants teacher due to an internal movement. Nestled in the heart of Te Atatu Peninsula, a vibrant and diverse community, our center prides itself on being a homely space with strong connections to the local community.
We provide invaluable support and room for professional growth, including leadership opportunities. Emphasizing the importance of trust, we focus specifically on developing whanaungatanga (strong connections) with infants, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for both the youngest learners and their families.
At BestStart Te Atatu Rd, we are dedicated to creating meaningful connections through our local community, making this an enriching opportunity for a qualified teacher passionate about early childhood education.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
· B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
· Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
· Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
· A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
· Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
