We are looking for a passionate qualified teacher to join our small, close-knit team at BestStart Somerset. Each of our teachers brings unique skills to the table, and through regular professional development and learning from one another, we continuously upskill to provide the best care and education for our tamariki.
A stones throw from Seddon Park in Hamilton you will find BestStart Somerset Street. Down an unsuspecting driveway you will find our hidden gem with generous space and our very own river and fountain.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
