Qualified Teacher – Fixed Term (Parental Leave Cover)
BestStart Russell Street in Palmerston North is seeking a passionate, fully qualified and registered ECE teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis, covering parental leave until January 2026. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with our energetic and curious 2–4-year-olds.

About the Role:
You’ll be working with our 2–4-year-olds, helping them build confidence, develop independence and explore their world in a safe and enriching environment. As part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas, bring your creativity and grow professionally.
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified and certificated ECE teacher
- A strong understanding of Te Whāriki
- Someone who embodies manaakitanga, builds strong relationships, and brings positive energy to the team
