About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Teacher at BestStart Pipiwai Kindy to join our lovely center on the edge of Whangarei, offering a beautiful country outlook. We currentl;y have two roles available, one for 24 hours per week and one full time 40 hour role, both working with our 2-5's.
As an Enviroschool, our philosophy is rooted in Manaakitanga, where we support our tamariki in caring for each other and their environment. Our community-based center prides itself on strong relationships with our whānau and mutual support to strive for excellence, ensuring positive outcomes for all tamariki.
We are looking for someone who loves working with the community, is passionate about sustainability, and is dedicated to helping our tamariki explore their environment in unique and meaningful ways.
These are permanent positions working:
24 hours per week 3 x 8 hr days, days are negotiable
40 hours per week, 5 x 8 hour days.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
