BestStart Parklands are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher to join their energetic team of educators (They are open to a new graduate teacher- supporting you in taking your career to the next level). 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing tamariki and centre routines; being able to fully participate in centre activities across the mixed ages (2-5 year olds)
  • Demonstrating and promoting the philosophy of the centre and what we stand for
  • Being a caring advisor to parents and families/whānau regarding our policies, practices, and curriculum

Role requirements:

  • Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following: 
  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification 
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning 
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard 
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality 

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7.00am-6.00pm, Monday-Friday.
