Qualified Teacher (BestStart Newton)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Qualified Teacher to join our team at BestStart Newton in our Toddlers room on a fixed-term basis.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with toddlers and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. You will be enthusiastic and bring energy to the classroom, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where our tamariki can thrive.
Joining a team of two senior teachers, this role is a wonderful opportunity for someone eager to make a meaningful impact, who is just starting their teaching journey.
Experience is not essential, we value enthusiasm, dedication, and ability to foster joy and learning within our diverse community.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday from 3/2/25 - 27/2/26
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
