About the Role:
At BestStart Maunu Village, we're currently seeking a qualified teacher for our 2-3 yr olds.
We're looking for an individual who is deeply passionate about early childhood education and development, possessing the creativity to ignite curiosity and imagination in our little learners. Patience and understanding are essential traits for navigating the world of toddlers, while a team player mentality is crucial for collaborating effectively with kaiako (teachers) and parents.
Our center spans across two buildings, and in this role, you'll be leading a team of two in our vibrant learning environment.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
