About the Role:
At BestStart Marne Street, we lead with a kind heart and a curious mind! We are seeking a passionate caregiver to join our team in the 3-5-year-olds' room, with some flexibility available. Our centre is located in the heart of the Hokowhitu riverside suburb in Palmerston North, within walking distance of beautiful landmarks like The Esplanade, the Manawatu River walkway, and the Hokowhitu Lagoon. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday in our preschool room.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
