Love, adventure and meaningful learning.

BestStart Huntsbury is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our energetic and close-knit team.

Nestled at the foot of Huntsbury Hill and just moments from the Ōpāwaho River, our purpose-built centre embraces the natural environment around us. We believe children learn best through love, adventure and meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning.

At Huntsbury, our philosophy is grounded in three key foundations: belonging, confidence and exploration. We create a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, empowered and supported to learn in their own unique way. Through meaningful play, shared rituals, daily kai times and strong partnerships with whānau, we help children develop the resilience, independence and social-emotional skills they need to thrive and become Set for School.

Our strong community connections enrich children's learning beyond the centre gates. Regular visits to local schools, parks and community spaces, alongside family events and transition-to-school programmes, help children build confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging and enjoy positive transitions throughout their learning journey.
