About the Role:  

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.   

We are looking for a Kaiako who can provide a nurturing and safe environment to our young tamariki. This role will include communicating regularly and effectively with parents, thinking on your feet and responding to each child's needs efficiently. You will be working alongside our 0-3 year old tamariki.

In this position you will be creating lesson plans in accordance to age-appropriate guidelines while providing emotional support and attending to the physical and emotional needs of our tamariki.

Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
