About the Role

We welcome both newly qualified and experienced teachers who have a genuine passion for early childhood education.

This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday) position based in our Manaaki classroom (nursery).

Our nursery caters for children aged 3 months to 2 years and is thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, spacious, and nurturing environment. Our Kaiako focus on creating an unhurried atmosphere, allowing for meaningful one-on-one interactions during key routines.

We pride ourselves on building strong, responsive relationships with families, enabling us to support each child’s individual rhythms and development through a flexible and child-centred approach.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a teacher who is committed to making a real difference. You will bring:

  • BEd/Diploma in Teaching (Level 7, ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
  • A strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending learning
  • Sound knowledge of ECE regulations and Te Whāriki, with a focus on compliance
  • A commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your teaching practice
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to high-quality education
