About the Role:  

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a one-year fixed term position starting in August 2024, working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.   

You will be based in our Nursery, working alongside our under 2 year old tamariki.  In our Nursery we have a strong focus on each individual child’s care and learning. We ensure all interactions are authentic and responsive, where needs and wants are heard and met. Interactions are respectful, informing children about what is happening and letting them feel empowered in their environment.

Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
