About the Role
At BestStart Gillies Ave, we believe children learn best through warm, trusting relationships and a strong sense of belonging. We're looking for a Qualified and Registered ECE Teacher to join our Under 2s team in a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
We're seeking someone who is calm, nurturing, and passionate about infant and toddler education. You'll help create a safe, responsive environment where our youngest learners feel loved, supported, and confident to explore. Through meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau, you'll make a lasting difference every day.
Nestled beneath two beautiful pōhutukawa trees, our centrally located centre embraces learning through nature, with regular excursions to local parks, schools, and bush walks. You'll join a welcoming, collaborative team where relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
About You
You'll have:
- BEd/Diploma Level 7 (ECE or Primary)
- Current NZ Teaching Registration and Practising Certificate
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE Regulations, and child-led learning
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your teaching practice
- A passion for building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
