About the Role:  

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday, from 9am - 3.30pm.

You will be part of out Ōtākaro room, working alongside our 2-3.5 year old tamariki. In this space you will see our busy over 2's. This room is bustling with excitement and is set up to help foster more independence as tamariki start feeling the need to make their own decisions. The classroom is inspired by the children's current interests to promote their natural curiosity. We have a large natural outdoor space with natural aspects to explore and a playground to provide challenges.

Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
