BestStart Fendalton has one of their amazing teachers moving to a centre closer to their new home, so they are looking for a superstar to fill her position! They are looking for an experienced teacher who is passionate and enthusiastic about working with any age, but a passion for 2-3 year olds would be a bonus.

The successful applicant will be:

  • experienced working in an ECE setting 
  • bubbly, outgoing, kind, patient, and able to show initiative 
  • a self-starter, creating exciting ideas and experiences to extend our children's learning while aligning with our centre's philosophy 
  • someone who is confident in developing strong relationships with our whanau 
  • lucky to join a team who gets along well, enjoys a laugh, and have regular team building outings outside of work

Role requirements: 

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current practicing certificate
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning 
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard 
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality 

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, between 730am-530pm,Monday-Friday.
