BestStart Brooklyn is a mixed-age centre catering for children from three months to five years old. At BestStart Brooklyn we are family feel, and we all learn together. Each child is as unique as a star in the sky with their own light to share which is why we love having children of all ages play and learn together just like if they were at home. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

Role requirements: 

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. 

We are looking for the following: 

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
