About the Role:
Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
This position is based in our 3 - 5 year old class room, which offers an expansive outdoor are where children can challenge themselves, while building their independence and self-confidence. We also offer BestStart’s Be School Ready initiative, which is incorporated into everyday practice, assisting with the next step in their learning journey. The initiative encourages children to use their developing self-help skills and provides a range of opportunities to extend their independence.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
