About the role: 

We are looking for a HSQ Advisor to join our project team based in the Dannevirke area. .On offer is a Fixed Term contract to coincide with the duration of the project. 

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all project activities adhere to the highest standards of quality and health and safety compliance.  This an amazing opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional who has worked within the electrical or construction industry. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve QHS management systems for the project.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of QHS systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Expert Incident Management skills.
  • Monitor and report on project performance against quality objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on QHS performance for project management. 

What You'll bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering).
  • Professional certification in QHSE is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of QHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage others in HS+Q initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
