Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
Antarctica New Zealand is delivering the Scott Base Redevelopment, a once-in-a-generation project to rebuild New Zealand’s iconic Antarctic research station. We are seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our high-performing team and help bring this nationally significant project to life.

You will play a central role in the successful delivery of this complex, high-profile construction project — ensuring it is completed safely, sustainably, and in line with New Zealand’s Antarctic purpose and values. Working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, you will manage design, procurement, and construction elements while engaging with contractors, iwi, stakeholders, and international partners.
Mōu | What you’ll bring
You are a proven senior project leader, ready to take on your next challenge. You will need:
- At least four years' experience in capital works delivery, preferably within public sector and/or large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of and experience in government, with a strong foundation in core public sector disciplines such as risk, assurance, financial and operational management, and Board and ministerial reporting.
- Strong commercial, stakeholder, and contract management skills.
- A calm, solutions-focused mindset and outstanding communication skills.
