Project Manager
McKay are searching for a passionate and skilled Project Manager to join the Wellington Team. You will be based in Lower Hutt, Wellington and report directly to the Wellington Regional Manager.
As a Project Manager, you will be focused on project delivery and estimation, managing logistics, procurement and resourcing, improving the delivery of projects and the results for customers.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive electrical experience, and either be a registered electrician with contracts management experience or an Electrical Engineer with a background in managing projects. You must be a professional, self-motivated, and confident individual with the ability to build and maintain a strong rapport with key stakeholders.
About you:
- Applicable Project Management Diploma or Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Electrical Registration is advantageous, but not essential.
- 8+ years of work experience.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
- Highly developed project management & coaching capabilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities, demands, and risks effectively.
- Proficient in analysing complex technical information and providing insightful recommendations.
- Proven ability to effectively manage labour resourcing for projects, including workforce planning, scheduling, and allocation.
- Ability to manage the procurement and resourcing of goods to support project success.
