McKay is engaged in several electrical infrastructure and generation construction projects within the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato regions.  With project durations ranging from six to twelve months we are looking for both permanent and/or contractors to join us. As a leading expert in various electrical works, we attribute our success to our problem-solving abilities, extensive industry knowledge, and the firm belief that exceptional customer service is key to client satisfaction. We are currently seeking experienced Project Managers to become part of our McKay team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical projects
• Leading and overseeing a project team, including planning, quality control, safety, and supervisory aspects
• Handling budgets, claims, variations, production control, and progress reporting
• Managing client relationships
• Ensuring adherence to high standards of health, safety, and quality.

What you’ll bring:

• Solid understanding of the electrical industry complemented by robust project management experience.
• Proficiency in contract management with demonstrated expertise in this field.
• A proven track record of understanding and managing budgets, establishing operational controls, and reporting on production, budgets, and risks.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to manage high-pressure situations and lead teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with our clients' project management teams and report efficiently to McKay's line management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that planning, execution, quality, and safety meet the highest standards.
• A strong background in health and safety.
