About this role:

As part of our Enterprise Portfolio and Change Management team, you’ll be responsible for leading the Protect Programme. This is a strategic programme of work which includes a range of one-off initiatives designed to protect customers, partners and revenue streams alongside managing the implementation of enterprise-wide regulatory change. The programme includes multiple initiatives that require leadership from concept through to delivery and benefit realisation.

Working closely with the Business Owner and Product Owner, you’ll be the conduit between the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), programme governance and business and technical delivery teams. The opportunity in this role is that you’ll be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, scoping, tracking, and resourcing of the programme.

There is plenty to do in this role, which will require you to be both hands-on delivering alongside leading. Your ability to lead and influence outcomes through cross-functional delivery teams and indirect people management will be critical to ensuring teams are equipped and supported to enable the programme’s success.

You’ll bring the following experience to the table:

  • Proven experience managing enterprise-wide programmes, with at least 5 years’ experience implementing large scale and complex programmes of work.
  • Strong background in programme governance and operating within a broader enterprise portfolio.
  • Previous experience leading business change projects in any discipline.
  • Previous experience working with senior leadership teams and managing cross business stakeholder relationships.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, navigating in a resource constrained environment and balancing short-term delivery with long-term thinking.
  • Experience managing people in a line management or project management setting.
  • Experience working in the financial services sector (preferred)
