We’re looking for a Professional Development Executive to ensure our members and customers receive outstanding service and support for their professional development and course delivery needs. 

About the role I Mō te Tūranga 

As a Professional Development Executive, you’ll be focused on providing exceptional customer service to our members and customers and ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of face-to-face and online courses. You’ll assist our wider team with their business support needs and ensure the team functions smoothly and effectively. 

Your varied responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring all assigned courses are superbly organised, briefing and supporting facilitators and panel members and exceptional support to course delegates.  
  • Providing excellent course support and administration tasks (course registration, waitlists, system resets etc). 
  • Managing course enquiries and incoming calls, responding and resolving queries and requests. 
  • Assisting the Delivery and Governance Service teams with business support. 
  • Proactively seeking out and implementing on-going improvement to the day to day functions and processes across the services we provide. 
  • Financial administration including processing payments, generating credit notes and invoicing. 

About you I Mōhou ake 

You’ll have proven experience and an absolute passion for providing exceptional customer service and a love for organising. Ideally you’ll have experience or a keen interest in events/course planning and strong administrative skills. You’ll be a confident, solutions focused communicator and enjoy using your initiative and drive to ensure you are fully equipped to best help our customers and wider teams.  

You’ll be a real team player who enjoys working towards a common goal, having fun while getting there. And, you will be keen to roll up your sleeves to provide assistance to the team on a range of other projects as they come about.  

The skills and experience you bring | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako ka mau i a koe 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in customer service delivery roles, preferably in a professional environment.  Experience in event/course organisation would be an advantage. 
  • Well-developed relationship and communication skills. 
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office), experience at effectively using and maintaining a CRM and confidence navigating the web. Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) would be an advantage. 
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously. 
  • A flexible and adaptable approach and able to prioritise your work.
