Procurement Manager
Bidfood Queenstown is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing operations and supplier relationships.

About the Role
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement function across our business, ensuring efficient purchasing processes, strong supplier partnerships and reliable stock availability to support operational and customer demands.
You will work closely with operations, warehouse and sales to drive purchasing efficiencies and support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
- Forecast demand and manage supply planning
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiations
- Source quality food and related products at competitive pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing trends to maintain optimal stock availability
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and company standards
- Analyse purchasing data, supplier performance and market trends
- Work collaboratively with operations, warehouse, sales and management team
- Lead and build the procurement team members
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within food distribution, FMCG, hospitality or wholesale environments
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent commercial acumen and analytical ability
- Experience managing inventory and forecasting demand
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
